Dr. Robert Louis is the Director of the Skull Base and Pituitary Tumor Program at the Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute at Hoag Memorial Hospital, California.
He specialises in minimally invasive brain tumour surgery, skull base surgery, neuroendoscopy, microneurosurgery and pituitary surgery. He has particular expertise in endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment of benign and malignant brain tumours, sellar and parasellar tumors and skull base tumours.
Through the use of cutting-edge neuroimaging and neuro-navigational equipment, he utilises the concept of keyhole neurosurgery, minimizing the damage to surrounding brain, vascular and soft tissue structures.
Since 2015, Dr Louis has been involved with the development and implementation of Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies for pre-operative simulation and rehearsal and intraoperative navigation.
